It’s All About the Job, Not About You.

Or is the job about you and your health?

There’s a conflict here.

A dilemna.

How is it to be resolved.

Do you want a job that you love, your passion, or not.

The answer is, passion is your starting point.

Take your passion, make it happen.

They’re the words from the movie ‘Flashdance’.

It’s a secret to changing the world.

Ourselves.

Quietly.

Ethically.

The world is an orchestra.

Each of us playing our part, like an instrument.

Our instrument is our passion.

What we love.

If you haven’t found your passion yet, then you need time to find it.

Not be pressured into taking a job you hate.

Like 85% of the rest of the world (according to a Gallop poll over 160 countries)*

No wonder the world’s orchestra is in disharmony.

From a soul perspective, there’s a part written for you.

One that will create harmony and health in your world as well as the whole world.

A score written just for you.

Go find it.

There’s a plan in place to deal with this.

It’s called the Universal Basic Income.

I’ve written about it in my new book.

We can do better.

That is, if we are to change the world.

To make this a better world.

To improve our lives.

Instead of making our lives unpleasant in our daily experience.

Love and peace.

A long time ago a chance meeting with a Librarian, a Wise Woman, who became a close friend opened a door that I found I couldn’t resist.

Was there more to life than meets the eye?

So began my own lifelong search for Truth.

So what is Truth?

I define Truth, capital T, as everything that is unchanging, eternal, permanent, Nature affirming.

I tell the story of my meeting with the Librarian in the first chapter of my small book How Can We Change The World Ethically, Sustainably & Quietly. Ourselves.’

The other 17 chapters tell of unusual personal experiences that followed that reveal my quest to find it.

As if I had opened the door to the answers I was seeking.

Although I didn’t know it.

A second evolution.

Parallel lives.

The secret of Destiny.

What our soul can tell us.

The little known cause of climate change.

The ethical nature-affirming culture that’s already changing the planet for good.

How we can change the world ourselves.

Change Your Thoughts, Change The World.

The world we have created is a product of our thinking; it can’t be changed without changing our thinking.  — Albert Einstein

The world is created by our thoughts.

So your brain waves are creating the world we’ve got.

“We but mirror the world,” said Mahatma Gandhi.

Your brain waves can be changed.

You can change any situation by your response to it.

In a stressful situation, for example, your response can determine its outcome.

Every action is preceded by a thought and an emotion.

Start with your perception if you plan to rewire it.

So what are you thinking?

Because that’s where we can change the world.

As a force for good.

Consciously.

Let’s consider how this works in the real world.

In your world.

What are you thinking about while watching television?

Playing video games?

Watching the news?

Listening to the radio?

Responding to social media?

Chatting?

Do you know what you’re thinking?

Are you aware of your responses, your emotions, your feelings?

Do you become emotionally involved?

Could your responses be creating the world you don’t want?

“Every thought and emotion has its own vibrational frequency or wave frequency. Quantum mechanics has demonstrated how a wave frequency can be altered. The shape of a wave has peaks and valleys. Energy waves are encoders and carriers of information with an infinite capacity for storage. When you overlay an opposite shaped wave on to an original wave, the original wave is straightened. Essentially you cancel out the characteristics of the original wave by overlaying a new exact opposite set of peaks and valleys on top of it. You change the vibrational frequency.” The Quantum Mechanics Of Changing Thoughts.

When you change your response, you change your experience of the situation.

This single factor has the potential to dramatically alter the course of your life journey.

As a thought form with other like minds, we could rewire the world.

As a force for good.

Think about it.

Love and Peace.

Has The World We Watch For Fun Become The World We’ve Got For Real?

We say we want peace.

Then our thoughts are what we watch and games we choose to play for fun.

Not peace.

So when does fun become reality?

Is that our new reality?,

And is what we watch, and think about, our new world?

Are we really creating the world we’ve got?

If what we think is what we get then is what we’re thinking all the time creating our reality?

“With our thoughts we make the world,” according to the Buddha.

“We but mirror the world,” said Mahatma Gandhi.

“This is the Divine mystery supreme,” he added.

What if it’s true.

That what we think is what we get.

Is our TV watching actually creating the fictions we love to watch?

Daily.

Have the war games we play become true of the real world?

Do we ever imagine there’s a connection between the two?

Think about it..

Have we become a “watching society”?

Instead of a doing society?

Even more important.

Has our watching world become our real world?

Our new reality?

By default?

How You Can Live Forever.

Create something today.

Create a piece that will be here after you have left this Earthly life.

Creativity is the secret of a piece of you lasting beyond your life.

Yet the creative arts are so undervalued in our society.

My deceased wife’s paintings are still to be found on the walls of my daughters’ homes today.

I expect my books about my life adventures to still be around after I’m gone.

Creativity lasts.

What about you?

Have you explored your creative potential yet?

If not, it’s never too late.

Now is the time to decide to leave a piece of yourself, your creative talent, behind.

So what is your unique creative gift to the world?

Think about it.

The Creator of this Universe is a creator.

Our Universe is a creation.

And we are all creators.

You should realise that you were born a creator and make an effort to bring out your unique creation.

Your way to be immortal.

So what is yours?

I’m an author.

My deceased wife was an artist.

And you?

Your creative talent doesn’t have to be your profession.

Your creation can be your hobby.

Maybe it’s your hidden talent.

Or your unknown passion

Write your story.

We all have one.

You are the hero of your own story.

Remember that..

George Lucas, creator of ‘Star Wars’, was a racing car driver until a serious accident in a racing car caused him to turn to the creation of ‘Star Wars’.

Creation can follow a major life change or traumatic event.

Change,

Letting go of the past.

Think about it.

What Are You Thinking?

Do you ever think about what you’re thinking?

Are they good thoughts or, well, not kind thoughts.

And what if you could create thoughts of success, prosperity, health, whatever you choose.

I know how,

Read to the end of this post for a link to such thoughts you can play on an MP3 audio.

There’s something about your thoughts worth thinking about.

What you think is what you get.

Do our thoughts create our reality?

If so then with your thoughts you should be able to create, or change, your reality.

What would you like to create right now?

What would you like to change?

And what if you could give your mind suggestions on how to do that?

What if, what if the talk you could tell yourself might be a little more positive than all the other voices you’re hearing every day.

To nudge out the other talk.

Social media.

Text messages,

The news.

Friends.

And of course, yourself.

There’s lots of talk out there, every minute, every hour, every day.

But then, what about you?

Do you ever think that maybe you, yes you, might have something important to say to your self among all the chatter you are getting.

All the time.

What about you.

And then, what are you hearing?

Is it positive?

I’m guessing it may be mostly negative.

About you.

About the world.

Let’s stop it.

Why not take control of the quality of what you’re having directed at you every day.

At your mind.

Because what you think is going to be what you’ll get.

Maybe what you’re telling yourself – and what everyone else is telling you – is creating your life.

So the question is:

What about talking to yourself.

What about changing your thoughts to what you really want to know.

Like from negative to positive.

For example, to success, prosperity, healthier, more loveable.

I know a way you can talk to yourself.

So what do you want?

Prosperity?

Health?

To be more loveable?

Take your pick.

I know where you can find the very thoughts that you would prefer to be thinking.

Thoughts you can play that talk the kind of thoughts you would like to hear.

To replace those thoughts you’d prefer not to hear.

Then choose for your self exactly what you’d prefer to hear.

Instead of all those voices you’d prefer not.

I’ve used such programs for years.

For me they work.

You really can choose the talk you talk to yourself.

Success, prosperity, health, loveableness.

This one is for finding success (RIGHT HERE).

Or do you prefer to attract health.

Luck?

Money?

Go for it.

Is Our Waste World Going To Kill Us?

I’m a bit weird because I can’t waste anything.

I even insist on showering early because I don’t want to waste any of the day.

I can’t waste any of the food on my plate.

How do you feel about waste?

Because I think that, in the end, waste is going to kill us.

And besides, it’s so, er, wasteful.

About a third of landfill is food.

Wasteful.

But there ‘s one kind of waste we seldom or ever think about and one day, I’m concerned, it’s going to be the end of us.

It’s ‘space junk’.

“Currently in Earth orbit, there are more than 23,000 objects larger than about 4 inches (10 centimeters), another half a million objects larger than about 0.4 inch (1 cm) and possibly 100 million more smaller than that, according to NASA.

“And there’s all sorts of stuff up there: dead spacecraft, spent rocket boosters, lost gear from space missions (including a glove, a camera, a blanket, a wrench and, somehow, a toothbrush), random bits of wrecked gear, paint flecks, bits of metal, frozen propellant, and a lot of screws and bolts.”

This according to the website Space.com.

There have already been collisions.

What if just one unfortunate incident starts a chain reaction and . . . well, who knows.

Could our communications networks be knocked out?

What about our Internet satellites?

Is our Internet safe from space junk?

How safe is anything?

You and I didn’t create this waste.

Nor can we be safe from the consequenses.

Except to avoid depending on it.

Best wishes.

The Only Way We’re Going To Change The World. Quietly.

One man knew the secret and he changed a country.

He knew the metaphysical secret to achieve this.

And his formula was so simple.

We but mirror the world.”

“This is the Divine mystery supreme,” he adds.

It’s the greatest secret in the world.

Because those five words could change the world.

His name was Mohandas Gandhi.

He’s famous for changing the world for India almost 100 years ago.

But that is only one part of a two-part idea.

The second part is up to the world – us – to make the change first.

I mean, in our small everyday lives.

It’s not a big ask.

It’s just having a more ethical way to approach our own everyday lives.

What if our thoughts create our reality.

Then why not the reality of the world.

Crazy, you say?

Ridiculous?

Unthinkable?

But think about it.

In his famous bestselling book ‘Think & Grow Rich’ author Napoleon Hill wrote as the title of the first chapter of the book ‘Thought Are Things’.

The Buddha is said to have claimed that –

“With our thoughts we make the world.”

I’ve written a new book –

Romancing Your Life & Changing The World’.

It’s a small book full of ethical peaceful wisdom.

Have You Ever Been Down And Out?

Are you disappointed with life?

Have you been struck a cruel blow?

Are you struggling to survive?

Do you feel your life has failed you?

This was how I felt when my life crashed and burned.

I was bankrupt.

I thought my life was over.

Then I came across this quote:

“Only at the bottom can you decide whether to live or die.”

I decided to live.

What about you?

Do you want to live or die?

I had decided to live.

But I had nothing.

I was at the bottom.

How can I live with nothing?

Alone and homeless.

I moved to the country and lived in an old caravan for the next five years.

With nothing.

People started to care for me.

I became involved in the town’s community.

I was alive.

Maybe for the first time in my life.

All the while feeling like a leaf in the wind.

Free and being blown wherever the wind took me.

Going with the flow.

Not forcing things.

Anything.

And the wind opened me to experiences I never imagined I would have living a ‘normal’ city life.

I was alone and free.

I had let go and allowed the Universe to take over.

Was this a new way to live.

Trusting something I didn’t understand?

Was I finally trusting the Universe?

Was my life’s disaster turning into a new way to live?

Trusting?

Going with the flow?

Small miracles started to happen.

I can see now that the Universe had taken over.

You too?

I’ve written everything that happened for you to read and learn from.

It’s here.

Because I’m a writer I have managed to craft a fun book that’s easy to read.

I still have nothing but, in spite of that, I’m leading an amazing life.

Read my book and let’s change the world together.

Quietly.

Love and Peace.

My Story Of How Just Thinking Can Change Your Life.

It figures.

We’re thinking in every waking hour.

And we’re reacting to our thoughts during most waking hours.

But do we ever think that we’re constantly connecting the two?

We think hungry so we go to get something to eat.

We need something and we act to satisfy that need.

We feel a desire for something, or someone, and we take steps to satisfy our need.

Don’t our thoughts always precede an action?

The act always follows a thought.

Our thought always stimulates a physical response.

Think about it.

Doesn’t it follow, then, that we can have a deliberate thought of action that will result in a physical response?

Cause and effect.

The thought is the cause and the action is the effect.

What if we also apply the idea to karma.

As you sow so shall you reap.

So what if your thoughts create your life?

Then if your reality is thought then what if your karma is also based on your thoughts rather than your actions.

What if your karma isn’t about your actions, good or bad, within a certain society’s morals, but one’s thoughts within a much broader view.

Is it rather the thought, the intent, that draws the karma?

Think about it.

What if we get what we think.

And what if all the thoughts we have during a single day are creating our reality?

What if?

A scary thought.

But what if it’s true.

What do we think about?

Do we ever think about that?

What if the stories we get in the movies, the computer games, the television dramas and the TV news, are all creating our reality?

Are the standout thoughts and beliefs we’re left with from the media throughout the day actually creating our world?

The Buddha said, “We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world..”

Is that what he meant?

So on that basis, are our thoughts and our beliefs really creating our life, our world, our destiny?

What if?

What Happens To Your Thoughts?

What are you thinking right now?

Is it what you did last night?

Your many problems?

Your money worries?

Is it what you found disturbing on the news this morning?

Or the night before?

Maybe the movie you watched last night.

Or all of the above.

But what no-one is telling us is that we all may be getting the very thoughts on our minds, good or bad, without knowing it.

In our daily lives.

In the world.

What if our thoughts create our reality.

All of them.

“With our thoughts we make the world,” said the Buddha.

Pretty outrageous.

But what if it’s true.

“Thoughts are things,” was the title of the first chapter in Napoleon Hill’s famous world bestselling book ‘Think & Grow Rich.’

It was a very materialistic book about how our thoughts can make us rich.

And I would add, or poor, or sick, or unhappy, or anything we might think at any time.

Doesn’t that make you think?

Aren’t we all a little alarmed at the world right now?

I am.

Which makes me want to shout out to the world:

“What on earth have we all been thinking?”

Do you agree?

Think about it.

Are We All Trapped In Our Own Group Soul?

Watch a flock of birds as they all change direction at precisely the same time.

Why?

Because every bird in the flock is trapped in their group soul.

As are we?

Is this why we have become social animals through the urge to gravitate to our own group soul and why we can feel miserable when we’re rejected by our group of friends?

Chances are we’ll seek to join another group soul or social group.

Is it because loners, or introverts, tend to be regarded as unfriendly or anti-social because they choose not to belong to a group soul?

And are we all on a path to individuate?

To become whole, complete within ourselves?

Could this be the soul destiny of the human race?

In other words, have the extraverts taken over not realising that they are living out the phenomenon of belonging to their group soul?

Is socialising another word for maintaining the group soul?

And a resistance to individuating?

When I was studying philosophy at university the question was: “Is football a religion?”

At the time my answer was probably yes, but today I would more likely reply that it’s the wrong question.

The real question, for me now, would be: “Do football and religion each have group souls?”

My answer now would be, that is the common denominator of the two.

Group souls can each have a different make-up.

A theme that will attract those seeking a common purpose or goal that they feel they can fit in with.

And, who knows, maybe we’re drawn to elements in our soul’s make-up from the time we are born.

Our workplace is a group soul.

Our social media are group souls.

Our friends are a group soul.

Moving out of one can be full of difficulty.

Moving into another, the same.

Moving from one to another, wow, that can mean trouble.

Is this a reason why 85% of us* are unhappy in our jobs, because we’re in the wrong group soul?

Surely, as we well know, moving into your own space, your own life, your own reality, well, that’s a courageous move.

Maybe that’s our soul’s destiny, an evolution that today is just beginning and which we find ourselves caught up in.

We need to decide whether to be carried along with the group, like the flock of birds flying within the same mentality, or are we to choose our own way, follow our own path, to individuate.

No matter what the rest of the flock says.

Could this be the answer to many of our life’s and social problems?

Best wishes

Neil

Why Do Other Things Change When You Just Change One Thing

I’m sure you have seen photos, even movies, of deserted homes or ghost towns and how they become overgrown in a short time.

What happens?

Yes, the people who have been holding back the overgrowth and the deterioration of the buildings have departed.

But then, that begs the question, why do we need to be constantly holding back change at all?

Why does change happen?

And why is that change usually unwanted?

Is that a matter of everything reverting back to a natural, uncontrolled form?

Is nothing permanent?

Well, no.

According to the Greek philosopher Plato, everything changes except the ‘real’ which is unchanging.

So what is ‘real’ then?

Which is the big philosophical question, to distinguish the ‘real’ from the ‘unreal’.

And is that why, when we move house, for example, things change and go wrong that we never expected to change or go wrong?

Are they the parts of our life that are not real, are impermanent, only held together by the item you decided to change?

Is everything in our lives being held in place by everything else?

Except for whatever is ‘real’.

So what is ‘real’?

What exactly is permanent?

George Harrison wrote that ‘All Things Must Pass’.

The Buddha said that “With our thoughts we make the world”.

Okay then, does that mean that everything in our lives is held together with our mind?

Except, that is, whatever in our lives, our thoughts, is ‘real’.

But they’re not likely to be physical objects.

So is karma real (Newton’s Third Law of Motion)?

Is entropy real (the Second Law of Thermodynamics), the idea that everything eventually falls apart?

How ironic that the very answer to the question of why things change is that things change (entropy).

It’s a Law of Physics.

And is the way to deal with the surprises of change the Buddhist idea of non-attachment?

That nothing is permanent?

What do you think?

Neil
